This school has been a dream of mine for more than 8 years. I am a semi-retired professional photographer, homeschooling mom to 3, and I’m passionate about alternative education. I never stop researching, and my goal as a Director and Teacher is to show students that learning is LIFE, and it never stops, even when you’re older! I also like long walks on the beach…for real.

Hello! I’m a former elementary school teacher with a passion for hands-on learning and igniting curiosity in my students. As a homeschooling mom to three, I love creating fun and engaging experiences that inspire a love of learning. I’m excited to be back “in the classroom”, where I aim to foster an interactive environment that encourages exploration and creativity!

I’m a homeschool mom who believes in relaxed, child-led learning that nurtures curiosity and confidence. As a former nanny and military wife, I’ve learned to be flexible, patient, and creative – especially while balancing the unique rhythms of family life. I love to read, enjoy a good cup of coffee, and soak up sunshine whenever I can.

Book Club + Shakespeare Teacher

In 20 years of homeschooling six kids, I’ve graduated four and sent them to college, taught Shakespeare, directed and produced seven plays, taught music in many settings and varieties, and led homeschool book clubs. I love teaching kids of all ages and find magic in every stage. In my free time (ha!), I love to read and go on walks, sometimes at the same time. 

Karman Boisset

Special FX Make-up Elective Teacher

Karman Boisset is a JMU grad and award-winning wig and makeup artist whose recent credits include Scalia + RBG and the Opera Kids Show at Cville Opera, The Little Prince at JMU Opera, and Steel Magnolias at Four County Players. She’s also a stage makeup professor at JMU and teaches at the Wayne Theatre.

Michael Jones

Golf + Football Instructor.

Michael Jones is a 3D motion designer and entrepreneur with a passion for storytelling, technology, and education. He brings creative vision and technical expertise to animation and media projects, while also co-leading innovative ventures in homeschooling, and spending time with his wife and 3 kids. He’s excited to lead Sports Instruction at CC this year.
